We are thrilled and grateful about the response to our advocacy training series, Building Power in Human Services: Advocacy in Action.
This training sold out early, but we were able to share strategies, lessons, and advocacy examples with 82 members of our human services community. Through interactive discussions, hands-on exercises, and real-world examples, attendees explored how to develop an advocacy plan, organize and mobilize supporters, and engage in state-level advocacy.
We also extend our appreciation for all the presenters and panelists who were able to join us for these sessions. Through their thoughtfulness and openness, we were able to hear practical tips and grounded examples of how to build coalitions, develop campaigns, and engage in effective advocacy.
For those who were not able to join us for this series, we will be providing this training series again in the spring – and we hope to see you there!
Following the success of our advocacy training series, we are excited to host a panel of journalists who cover government, policy, and community life.
