The Healthcare Sanctity and Privacy Law (HB1312) strengthens privacy and safety protections at hospital healthcare facilities in Illinois.
It requires hospitals to develop policies and protocols when encountering law enforcement agents for the purpose of immigration enforcement. The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) has fact sheets available in six languages: English, Spanish, Polish, Korean, Chinese, and Arabic.
