Student loan changes are deeply impacting borrowers and the Illinois human services workforce.
The Student Debt Crisis Center will share the latest updates about student loans, public forgiveness, and what options borrowers and organizations have for support. You will also hear from legislators, advocates, and frontline workers about how student loan debt and changing loan payments are affecting worker well-being, financial stability, and the ability to recruit and retain human service professionals.
While we manage federal changes, we will also share what you can do in the upcoming state legislative session to support the Human Services Professional Loan Repayment Program and the Living Wages, Thriving Communities Campaign.
