Illinois Partners for Human Service represents our coalition in the Illinois Poverty Commission, specifically leading the Pillar 5 subcommittee tasked with supporting trusted community-based providers in the elimination of deep poverty in Illinois.

In this role, we will be hosting a listening session for community-based providers, in partnership with the Illinois Department of Human Services, to hear from you on the ways your organizations and clients are being impacted by the changing federal landscape. We are looking for leaders at community-based organizations who provide services in counties with the highest percentages of deep poverty in Illinois: Pope, Tazewell, Kankakee, Pulaski, Rock Island, Macon, Bond, Jackson, Gallatin, and St. Clair.

In this listening session, we will discuss the following:

  • How are threats to programs and funding at the federal level impacting your organization’s ability to provide services to those living in deep poverty?
  • What are the biggest challenges facing your consumers and community members in need of your services?
  • What organizational support do you need to better meet the needs of those living in deep poverty?

If you are a leader at a community-based provider operating in one of the counties above, please join us via Zoom on Friday, May 30, 12-1 pm.

Register here and email lauren@illinoispartners.org with any questions or accessibility needs.
