In October, we launched our Racial Equity Training for Human Service Leaders and we are grateful for the amazing response we received.
More than 70 human service leaders participated in the training series led by Illinois Partners staff and 8 guest trainers. Our guest trainers included: Jose Rico, Jessica Palmert, Juana Ballesteros, Joi Imohboi, Jovan Gathings, Chi By Design team Chris Rudd and Justin Walker, and Colleen Norton with The Network: Advocating Against Domestic Violence.
To our amazing participants, thank you all for your time, energy, and commitment throughout this training series. Your insights, questions, and reflections have been a powerful reminder of the importance of this work and will help us shape future learning opportunities. We are excited to see how you apply what you have learned in meaningful ways moving forward and we are committed to supporting you on your journey.
To our wonderful guest trainers, thank you for sharing your experience and commitment to advancing racial equity. You inspired us all to think more deeply and creatively about the topics we explored together.
Thank you all for being a part of this journey. Let’s keep learning and growing—together!
Stay tuned for more learning opportunities and reach out to adela@illinoispartners.org if you want to delve deeper into topics discussed during the training, are seeking additional resources to share with your organization, or want to connect with other leaders in your geographic region.
