We are thrilled to introduce our new team members.

Cosette Ayele and Katherine Cavanaugh.

Cosette Ayele (left), our new Director of Advocacy and Workforce Initiatives, is a community investment strategist and grassroots organizer whose values center care and transformation over punitive responses to systemic racism and inequity. Cosette obtained a Master of Public Policy with a specialization in Data Analytics from the University of Chicago, and has guided policy and analysis in affordable housing and the mobile crisis care continuum in Illinois. In her role as Director of Advocacy and Workforce Initiatives, Cosette will be leading our upcoming workforce roundtables, informing our policy priorities, and centering the experiences of frontline workers in our advocacy initiatives. She has a wealth of experience in building partnerships and coalitions, and we are so lucky to have her on our team!

Katherine Cavanaugh (right), our new Training Manager, began her career in human services working as a sexual assault survivor advocate and behavioral health counselor. After obtaining a Masters in Social Work focusing on Community Action and Social Policy, she organized with people experiencing homelessness in health care organizations at the local and national level.
