On February 13, Governor JB Pritzker announced the appointment of Mary Killough, a lifelong advocate for older adults, as the next director of the Illinois Department on Aging (IDoA).
She will assume the position in March, pending Senate confirmation. Killough currently serves as Vice President of Operations and Government Relations for AccentCare.
She previously served as Deputy Director of IDoA from 2011 to 2015. Killough is a licensed attorney and has more than 30 years of experience serving Illinois’ older adult population.
