Join us in congratulating the Healthy Illinois Campaign for the 2024 Justice and Equity Award from the American Society on Aging Advisory Council.
This award is presented to an individual or organization that has made outstanding contributions to promoting equity and justice in aging. The award recognizes the amazing work of the statewide campaign to ensure healthcare access for people shut out of federally funded Medicaid and Medicare programs.
Since successfully passing historic legislation to establish the Health Benefits for Immigrant Seniors and Health Benefits for Immigrant Adults programs, campaign members continuously advocate to fully fund the program, eliminate co-pays and expand healthcare coverage for all regardless of age or immigration status.
