In December, Equip for Equality released a 4-page assessment on the State’s Plan to transition residents from the Choate Mental Health and Development Center into community settings.
The report highlights universal barriers that negatively impact timely moves from Choate and other state operated developmental centers to a community setting, including the urgent need for community provider expansion.
