November is National Family Caregivers Month, a time to recognize and honor family caregivers across the country.
It is also a time to raise awareness about the important role of family caregivers in Illinois and the support they need to care for family and friends. Our coalition partner, Solutions for Care, offers a resource center and invites caregivers to join a monthly support group to share their experience and learn new skills and techniques to help care for loved ones.
This month, caregivers received a certificate of appreciation and a gift to members. Caregiver resources are available on the Illinois Department of Aging and the Illinois Family Caregiver Coalition websites.
