Illinois Partners for Human Service is pleased to announce that our Senior Director of Advocacy, Adela Carlin, has stepped into the role of Interim Executive Director.

I firmly believe that when we come together, learn from one another, and advocate collectively, we can create lasting change. -- Adela Carlin, Interim Executive Director

With her deep commitment to our mission and years of leadership within the organization, Adela is well positioned to guide Illinois Partners through this transition as we continue advancing a strong and thriving human services sector. Adela has led some of our most important initiatives over the last few years including cultivating and stewarding strategic partnerships across the state, launching and guiding the development of our comprehensive training portfolio, and co-leading the Living Wages, Thriving Communities Campaign as sustainable and equitable investments in the human services workforce continue to be our priority.

Under Adela’s thoughtful leadership, our team will remain focused on the work that drives us every day: strengthening the human services sector in Illinois, building meaningful partnerships, advocating for the resources and policies our communities need, and creating opportunities for the people and organizations at the heart of this work to thrive. This transition is an opportunity to build on the strong foundation we’ve created together while staying grounded in the relationships, experiences, and voices that guide our work. We are excited to move forward with Adela at the helm and continue creating meaningful change for human services and community well-being throughout Illinois.
