Budgeting For Results

This is the Budgeting for Results Strategic Plan, prepared April 27, 2012.

The Budgeting for Results law requires the Governors’ office of management and budget (GOMB) to submit an economic and fiscal policy report each year that projects long-term economic and fiscal policy objectives of the state.

Illinois Partners for Human Service has prepared a one-page fact sheet of the Budgeting for Results process in Illinois.  This document highlights what BFR does and why it matters that human service providers have a voice in the BFR process.

In the summer of 2011, Illinois Partners for Human Service prepared a research document which discussed an overview of the Budgeting for Results Process.  Please click the following link to read our analysis.

At the beginning of October 2011, the Budgeting for Results Commission held two public hearings, one in Springfield and one in Chicago, and invited human service providers to attend and present oral and written testimony.  The following link contains the Commission's latest draft of Results, Goals, and Sub-Goals as well as Commissioner Biographies.

In November 2011, Voices for Illinois Children published an issue brief written by Larry Joseph on Budgeting for Results, which contained highlights of the BFR Commission Report
